Mateo Soto (*1972)
Mateo Soto was born in 1972 in Spain. He studied composition with Manuel Seco de Arpe and he also express his gratitude to Salvador Brotons, Tomás Marco and Antón García Abril for their advice. He received several composition awards and his music has been performed by players, ensembles and orchestras around the world. Most of his works have been recorded and broadcast by RNE (Spanish National Broadcasting) and are published by EMEC (Spanish Contemporary Music Publishing), Piles, Musicvall, Edizioni Sconfinarte (Italy) and Donemus (Netherlands). He is teacher of Fundamentals of Musical Composition at the Conservatory of Cartagena (Spain) and Head of Theory and History of Music Department.
