Dietmar Bonnen (DE) – Rote Beete
Dietmar Bonnen about his piano piece “Rote Beete”
“The rhythm study “Rote Beete” refers to Beethoven’s string quartets and Gellert-Lieder. The score is for two manuals plus pedal like a classical pipe organ notation and the composition is performed as a percussion piece. The performer is located below the instrument, tapping with both hands on the soundboard of the piano, while the feet play the pedal part with a chosen sound (perhaps by stomping, with attached bells, etc.).”
